Megan and Tavis

Finally we got our hands on pictures from Megan and Tavis' wedding from a couple weeks ago.  The timing of the wedding was perfect, everyone in the studio just loves this time of the year when the peonies are in abundance and the blooms are big fluffy and really phenomenal in every way (shape, size, smell).  Lucky for us this client shared our appreciation and we paired them up with some nice touches of modern with vintage accents and accessories.  The event was just gorgeous and what an amazing event to have at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu.

If only you could experience the fragrance....
We brought in a custom entry arch to compliment the white permanent structure at the Grand Hyatt.  Complete with our hard back aisle runner and dotted with gorgeous aisle adornments this really ended up being one of our favorite setups to date.
 Dramatic Stanchions Line the Aisle.

The Custom Placecards we Provided went Perfect wtih the Florals.  It's all about the details....

The mix of mercury glass was perfect.

At the conclusion of dinner, guests relaxed in Chiffon Draped Cabanas over the Candle lined Koi ponds and listened to the Coconut Palms sway in the gentle island breezes.

Passionate about Purple!

What a wonderful and amazing event.  We were so excited we found the perfect client to debut our mahogany tabletops that we've been thinking about doing for the last year.  When we knew they'd be perfect when we shared our idea with the client after visiting this space on a site inspection.  We love everything about this event.  To get this look just ask us! All of it was provided by MRD!
Custom Tabletops in a Mahogany Finish Adorned with Our Pearlized Coral Charger Plates, Custom Linen, Matching Chairs and Gorgeous Florals.  Dotted with Glass Cylinders with Floating Candles Along the Lanai Edge.
Linens Cut/Sewn Perfectly to the Tables.  Available in Any Color You Can Imagine.  Couple it with a Gorgeous Runner as we did here.
The Sweet Heart Table Overlooked the Pools.  It was under the chicest little Pagoda.  Of Course we Draped it in Eggplant Chiffon to go with Our Custom Linen Tied Back with Lush Orchid Garlands.
Little and Gorgeous Orchid Cubes on Top of the Cocktail Tables.
We created a L-Shape Bar for Cocktails on the Patio.  It Blends in So Perfect  You Can't Even Tell It's There.  Our Bars are a Great Departure from what can be a Real Eye Sore.
The Bride/Groom Table was just so Romantically Draped with Fabric and Flowers.  What a Magical Evening it was!

What a busy wedding season it is turning out to be!  We've been meaning to post several weddings that are just too amazing not to share.  Here is a very simple event we did for a wonderful couple - ala Deanna.  We just loved the deep amethyst, wine, and berry tones.   The simple crystal arch we did for the couple framed them in utter simplicity.  Take a look below and enjoy!

Jen and Sean's Wedding

What a weekend it has been.  Gelston shot some pictures for us of Jen and Sean's wedding at the beautiful St. Regis.  The whole team is exhausted, but already preparing for the ones this week!  It makes it easier when you love what you are doing...

We had these pictures shot at about 2pm the day of the setup - as you can see the napkins and stemware weren't placed yet..  Inspired by ocean breaks, what you don't see is the custom napkin.  It was equally as cool as the  chair sashes we designed.    Jen's dress was amazing and had the same feel - but in white/ivory of course.  Love the drapery in this room.  It's a perfect canvas that keeps the room clean and crisp in feel.  At night the lighting really brought this room to life with cooling shades of blues and turquoise.

Aqua color bubbles and glass adorned vases, dripping with turquoise color crystals.  The florals accented with White Albino Peacock Feathers.

Used LED candles per clients request.  Loved these new wax floaters we got, all our LEDs are wax, and pretty great.  Consider them for Outside.  Inside go for FIRE!   Real Candlelight Always Wins!

The After Party Lounge and Cabanas.  The Structures just Drink in the Lighting.  Gorg!
Later (after the pictures were taken) we strung gorgeous Black Crystals in the interior giving it a Edgy Modern Feel.

Simple.  I just loved these cocktail table florals we did.  So Simple.

OK.  We had to go to the backup plan which involved a clear top tent.  We quickly went into action and draped the poles with flowy ivory chiffon that went gorgeously with our drapy chiffon chair sleeves.  Dripping from the ceiling of the tent were orchids and crystals that we were going to put in the trees.  Lining the Aisle were 5,000 orchids.  And flanking the entry were trios of florals surrounding the most amazing pedestal Impressive Entry florals made from luxurious Phaleonopsis Orchids.  I'm not going to lie, we were not loving the idea of having to do the backup but OMG the client was thrilled with the results (and we were pleased to say the least).   We are already busy working on a complete design for this clear tent.  So much inspiration came from this wedding and the backup plan we were dreading.   O my, did that rhyme.

A Spontaneous Affair...

Enjoy these pictures from a wedding about 2 weeks ago.  We only were introduced and started talking to this couple about 2 weeks prior to that but pulled together some gorgeous flowers for this spontaneous affair for 30.

Dinner with MRD...

Recently, all of us at MRD finally were able to break away and have a long overdue holiday party at the NEW Club at Kukui`ula.  Yes, you heard it, holiday party...as in Christmas/New Years party.  It was a bit tardy because we were busy tending to our fabulous clients every need.  We broke away and spent some wonderful time with each other reflecting on a great 2010!  Dode came up with the table design, wanting to show the team something different than events we've been doing.  He was inspired by glass, copper and palm trees.  Check out how it and we all came together for a great time.

Thank you to Michael C. Armstrong for capturing our moment.

What Rhymes with Orange?

I don't know, but these are beautiful...
