Details that Make a Difference
Tents can be down right UGLY! Tent pole sleeves like these in fuchsia hides the ugly mechanics of the tent. Add in a Chandilier made completly from lush strands of orchids and fabric draping and you've completely transformed your reception into something right from the pages of a magazine. Tent Poles Sleeves and Fabric Draping can be customize to any color. Orchid Strands available in a variety of colors as well.
Adding a Tall Centerpiece to a room with high ceilings helps fill negative space. Consider mixing High and Low centerpieces if you have more than 6 tables. You'll add a pop to the room or tent and help transform it from Drab to Fab!
Dress up the Drab Pool with a pool floats made from Reclaimed Bamboo. A definite conversation piece in an unexpected place.

Kukui`ula Farm Wedding
This uber exclusive site was the perfect venue for this Summer Wedding of Jean Marie and Brett. Enjoy the gorgeous pictures on this Organic farm at the heart of Kukui`ula.
LOVED the Maiden Hair Fern Falling Asymmetrically Out of Her Bouquet.
What you don't see are the GORGEOUS trees we constructed at the Tent Entry. A perfect entry complimenting the gorgeous landscape.
Beautiful!! Orchid and Passion Vine Chandeliers, Ivory Chiffon Tent Fabric Draping. Gorgeous Centerpieces of Hydrangeas, Viburnum, Maiden Hair Fern, Passion Vine, David Austen Roses, and Orchids. Natural Wood Chivari Chairs with Custom Oatmeal Textured Linens. All from MRD of course!
We had a hard time deciding what type of lounge to use - we have a few to choose from! Don't you think the couple was the perfect accessory to the Rattan Sofa Lounges? Wait..I meant the opposite of that!

Custom Made, Custom Tailored (with 2 Weeks Notice) !
This wedding turned out fabulous considering we were only given 2 weeks notice! Turns out the florist (a friends recommendation) they originally hired bit off more than they could chew and when it came down to it they backed out. What this couple needed was an floral and event company like us, not a florist. When we got the call we mobilized and produced everything the couple desired. All on time and all beyond their expectations - they were beyond thrilled and so great to work with!
Here's what we did....Ivory and Taupe Tent Fabric Draping, Entry Draping into their Home, Textile Selection & Purchasing including Tailoring of Table Linens, Custom Fabricated Ceremony Seating Structures, Pool Floats, Hand Cut Bamboo Aisle Pathways, Hand Folded Origami, and of course the most BEAUTIFUL Gorgeous Flowers they ever laid eyes on !! All this and 2 weeks!?! We did it and it was amazing!

Two large (10ft X 22ft) custom made bamboo structures provided guests shade from the HOT sun during the wedding ceremony. We had waterproof fabric too in case it rained. Fortunately it was a beautiful sunny day in a gorgeous setting.

We draped the tent with ivory and taupe colored fabric. This helped disguise all the ugly tent mechanics as well as hid the metal tent poles with white and blue tent pole sleeves.

We lined the aisle-way with pieces of bamboo topped with flowers to create a organic walk leading up to the bamboo ceremony structure.

A pool nearby featured four bamboo grids with flower accents.

Custom Table Linens and Origami's were incorporated to reflect the couples fondness of Japanese style. The centerpieces used paper cranes perched on Manzanita branches with flowers and river rocks at the base.

Memorial Day Memories...
Wow! It was busy last week. A shoot of Earl and Shelley on "Whose Wedding is it Anyway?" and Starr and Eli's fabulous wedding at Na Aina Kai. Starr, Eli and Morgan Childs were a dream to work with and together we came up with something completely amazing. All went flawlessly - that is - until the caterer showed up with the pink polka dotted cake!!! Imagine my surprise - pink polka dots! Nothing a tray of succulents, peonies and MRD talent couldn't fix!!! Starr would have been devastated, but in all honestly, after we were done fixing the caterer's mishap she probably didn't even notice it. We are crossing our fingers they will share the photog's photos when they are ready. Here's some we snapped on our own. I promise to share the picture of the cake (before/after) when we get them from the photog.

Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?
We just finished up shooting a fabulous episode of Whose Wedding is it Anyway? with Survivor Fiji winner Earl Cole and his fiance (now wife) Shelley Lee. They were the sweetest of couples and we had a lot of fun. The episode airs in August on the Style Network. Look for us. We'll post some photos we took on our own very soon. Watch for them...
