Love Shack, Baby Love Shack

A few weeks ago, we put on a few consecutive parties for one of our clients. The themes for each of the parties proved to not only be fun for the attendees but also for us. One of the nights was themed "Love Shack" with a Bohemian Chic feel and was inspired by the B52's classic hit. The party was to look like everyone decided to get together and throw a party last minute, bringing whatever they had to contribute to the party atmosphere. The client gave us a lot of creative freedom which we happily took advantage of and in the end, the client could not have been happier when they saw our accomplishments. Here are a few photos that I took of the Love Shack party. Enjoy!

Martin Roberts is pleased that the following photo was prominently displayed

as the lead-in photo for an article on Hawaii's top florists AND on the home page of their website. We were NOT acknowledged by or in the magazine/online eventhough the entire table (nuts to bolts --chargers, candles, linens in addition to the arrangement) was designed by the MartinRoberts team. Although disappointed by what we feel is an injustice, we are proud that our designs graced the pages of not only this, but many magazines.

Garden Greens...

Came across this bouquet we did last year of mini Monstera leaves, Scabiosa pods, Green Cymbidiums, Cockscomb, Green Spider Mums, Ti Leaves, China Berries, Dendrobiums, Lady Slipper Orchids, Fiddlehead Ferns, and Croton. I love it. Hope you do too!

A Family Affair

We were going through some photos of some of last years events and came across this. It was a small and intimate event with close faimily and friends that took place on a gorgeous estate near Poipu. We just loved how this table came together. Completely simple with plain white linen and a fabric runner. No chargers, no placesettings just the basics. The client gave us these old rusty candleabras and with a little MRD magic we gave them some new life. We really were thrilled how this simple affair turned out to be quite amazing and gorgeous event.

Footsteps from the beach, nestled in a gorgeous one of a kind setting. The wedding embraced its surrounding with a focus on shells and orchids (thousands and thousands of orchids).

A Grand affair...

Here are some pics from the Amber and Mike Philpot who got married at the Grand Hyatt Kauai.

The bride carried Phalaenopsis orchids and the girls carried green cymbiduim orchids.
